Just bought a new torque wrench,old one was way off,It says in the box "must calibrate before use" Ive never had to do this before,Any ideas?

get a wrench that is a foot long or more. Get a weight and hang it at the 1 foot point on the wrench. Take that wrench and attach it to a bolt that will spin freely and is large (long) enough for you to attach your new Torque wrench. What ever the weight is at the end of the 1st wrench is what the Torque wrench is supposed to read. Hmm the wrench that has a weight attached to it must be parrell to the ground. Thats my idea.Is Effingham a swear word?
