Please don't pay a shop to do it. They likely won't do a good job at all and you'll be left with the same problems. Follow Carbs 101 and it's incredibly easy.

+1, dont cut corners and skip steps in the carbs 101 guide. when i first got my bike it didnt run do a very dirty carb (bike sat for 5 years with fuel in it). read the carbs 101 guide, skipped the hard stuff to save some time and ended up with a crappy running bike until i did it rite. it should take you a good portion of the day if not all day, but its not to difficult.

if you think your bike isnt running on all cylinders then spray the headers with water. if 1 or 2 pipes takes longer to evaporate the water then youve found you problem. i had the same problem with my bike around a month ago. turned out to be a clocked pilot jet.
