Actually, you shouldn't notice any performance difference.

What you do get by de-restricting it:
        (A) An engine that takes about an extra half-second to start (because it's not pulling fuel vapors in from the charcoal cannister), AND
        (B) Far more importantly -- a whole lot less plumbing to try to add to your diagnostics when something goes wrong.

Van, why are you even asking these questions? If you want it derestricted, get the block-off plates and bring it to my place.
Block off plates on eBay ($29)

The real question is how did you get so damn low on oil?

        Cheers,

$10 S&H on that set. These guys sell a kit too. http://www.gsxrzone.com/pairplates.html This is one of the winter mods on list for the Bandito, if the shipping is less I'd get them from these guys.
Another option is to roll your own with a grinder and some scrap metal.

Why is this thread back from the deadly again?

Okay, got a response from those folks. Shipping from Cali to east coast around $6, so their kit is cheaper than the eBay one.

Ask JP... he's carrying the Egyptian Book of The Dead Threads and using it to bring them back to life... I didn't even notice how old the thread was!

Hey Matt, Cyber..... I was messaged by someone asking about those kits and I told them to contact either of you for information on it.

Don't think it caused this thread to be drug up though. Different people. Weird.
