It was late and i said " ah ive seen the pic plenty of times" So as i left the manual and diagrams and all common sense in the house i being to drill. Whoops. I have no idea what that is there for. I do know, however, you can't just replace it. You need new carbs. When I say you can't replace it, I mean you can't just order that part from the dealership.

Is that the plug from drilling the idle passages into the throat?
You might be able to plug the hole you drilled with some JB Weld. Might be a better fix by gluing a plate over the hole with a thin smear of JB Weld and then capping the plate with more to make sure it's sealed up well. You could use the bottom of a beer can for the plate material.

Curious... What was under it? I figed it was a plug for a tunnel seal off or something.

right above it, in the carb bore. Are those 3 tiny holes you use the bench sync. Wild-Bill is right, that's what it is.

Ok thanks alot. Hopefully the jb weld works. Maybe if I put the original plug in and jb weld both sides of the drill hole? Just in case does anyone know where to find used carbs at decent price

What's your definition of "decent price"? I rebuild the nicest sets of carbs you can get unless you buy new ones:

But if your budget is like $50 bucks, I can't help you

It can't be impossible to find a brass plug of that size. Measure it, and google for it.
