the neutral switch tests good according to the clymer manual. i bypassed the side stand safety switch because i had an issue with it earlier just to be sure. i tested the signal generator as well and the resistance is within spec. I have thursday off so i will be able to dig into it more...

alrighty here is what i have checked so far.
1)signal generator- good
2)side stand safety switch- bypassed and good
3)neutral switch- good
4)ignition switch- good
5)starter switch- good
6)side stand relay- good
7)clutch switch- good
8)coils- good on both primary and secondary
9)side stand switch diode- good
10)wiring from side signal generator to ignitor- good
11)wiring from ignitor to coils- good
12)wiring from ignitor to tach (not sure this was important)- good
for obvious reasons i cannot test the ignitor...does anyone have any other ideas of anything i can check before i either pay to get the ignitor checked or replacing it?
thanks everyone
