  • Oil Light On

So, last night I laid it down. Coming around a corner, and a truck had dropped some of that black asphalt gravel. Never had a chance.

Be that as it may, now the oil light is on. I never saw oil leak out, and I was only doing probably 25 (not even enough to crack the fairing).

So, are there any steps I can take to see if the problem is the oil pump or the sensor?

Ok I am going to be blunt, did you check the oil level?

The oil light isnt for level its for pressure, I would suspect the pump before level.

This is also assuming that the OP would have seen a hole in his case covers if it were there...

Could it be possible that the OP did not crack the fairings, but dented the timing cover anyhow... If the timing cover dented, then it is possible that the wire from the Oil light sender is grounded...
