  • What size socket do I need for oil plug?

Well as the subject says. I would like to know what size socket I need to use on the oil plug.

I have searched the forum but just cannot seem to find it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'm off to Sears tomorrow. Just did not want to spend $6 on the wrong size.

        I have a 97 kat 600 and it's got a 22mm in it... what year/size is your bike?

And get a torque wrench, otherwise it's possible to strip the threads in the oil pan.. 16.5 ft lbs of torque is all it requires.

Then it sounds like someone's replaced your plug at one point .

            Mine is a 2000 Kat 600.

            So is 21mm correct?
