idle question

my 97 kat 600 won't idle at 1500 i had to set it higher so it doesnt shot off on me at trafic lights. also when i would hit the brakes coming to a stop it had a tendency to also turn off what tht heck could it be?

Yeah, sounds like a carb issue. When was the last time they were cleaned?

well i live in vegas im more then willing to look it over tweak the carbs resync them for if you want i got all weekend with nothing to do so let me know
