Electrical problem

Ok, I installed my alternator, getting voltage from it, now the 2 wires coming from alternator are overheating at the point where it connects to the bike harness, what can this be, I'm getting 14 volts at the battery. Do you think its a short somewhere?

you have high resistance or a short to ground somewhere it sounds. check the connection where the wires are getting hot to make sure all is well then start looking for a shorted wire somewhere
