rear shock????

hello to all
on a 99 gsx600. how do you adjust the rear shock i want to set it back to factory setting?
as to the previous owner lower it what number is the best setting???? thanks

It should be in your manual what the default setting was.

Pre load is set to 4

Damping is set to 2

From the factory on the 2003 600 so your 99 should be the same.

BUT from what others have said before, those numbers are apparently based on a 150Lb rider. I've upped mine abit since I'm 200lbs. Same with the front end.

thanks ok damping =front?? preload =rear??i don't have a manual yet
what is the easiest way to adjust the rear?? i figuire out the front turn all the way to the left until it stops then turn right 2 notches?? thanks for replies
