I have recently done a lot of work to my pre 750. Most noticably dropping an '86 GSXR 1100 into it. I have done quite a bit to the motor including Carrillo rods, ported head, oversized valves, JE 12:1 pistons, .370 Web Cams, etc...
My problem is that when I try to turn it over with the starter it can barley turn it over. I have checked to ground, not an issue, swapped the 750 and 1100 starter around, not an issue, and bought a new battery, bigger one but now luck. I took out the plugs to see if it would turn over and it does with no problem, so this leads me to think that my CR is too high for the motor to turn it over.
Does anybody think that I should just try to retard the exhaust cam a bit? Right now I have them degreed in at 107 intake and 109 exhaust.
