so my kat6 has KEI*HIN carbs from a kawasaki ninja.. and I'm not familiar with bike carb tuning. my prob is the local suzuki shop WONT work on the bike without the original carbs on it. soo I will be tuning them myself. I've allready pulled them apart and given them a good cleaning. everything looked good so back on they went. it starts and idles fine, revs all the way through the rpm range without any hesitation. but when I run it down the road from about 3500 and up it bogs down horribly..? so would this be too much fuel or not enough? right now I have the air fuel set at 2.25 turns out.. any info would help -thanks

Is the jetting stock? If not, it sounds like a needle height issue.
90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

In general if the hesitation is lower rpms say... 4-5k.... your running a little lean and need to shim (put a washer) under the needle. If your fine there, but running into issues higher rpms say... 7-9k, then it's a little rich, and you would need to lower the needle (remove shims, move eclip if you have one on it up higher).
If it's running poorly through all of the rpms over 3k, your mains may be off pretty badly.

okay I'll start messin with it again tomorrow, I've been waiting for a day without rain.. idaho weather sucks soo bad. I did run it around for the bit of decent weather today and it was great until it warmed up good. then it started to struggle again between 4k and 6k.. I'll try spacing the needle to sit a bit higher first and go from there.
when it's fully warmed it idles a bit higher also. around 2600rpm as compared to 1200rpm when cold??
