  • Idle problems

I have a recently rebuilt 93 Katana 750 GSXF and i am in the process of trying to start it. When i try to start it the bike kicks on and revs up to about 4K RPM before dropping back down and turning off. When i hit the throttle there seems to be a delay so it dies anyway. I made sure the fuel lines are not pinched and they have new fuel filters. The throttle cable and choke cable don't seem to be caught on anything or binding because they both get full range on the carb. The carbs worked on the bike before i removed them to rebuild the engine and the only thing i have changed on the carbs is the idle. Does anyone have any ideas of whats going on?

Start up with choke, choke down to 2k rpms, wait a minute or two, choke off using the throttle to keep the revs up.

Which part of this does she get mad about?
90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.
