    can somebody explain a sprocket change to me? im trying to get my 93 katana to be a bit faster.

    By changing the number of teeth on your sprockets you change the ratio of of th power or torque to speed or movement of the bike.

    Simply put... add teeth on the back of the bike, it pulls harder on take off but has a slower top speed...

    remove teeth to the back, and it will start off slower, but have a higher top speed.

    It's oposite on the front side.
