My petcock is leaking around the mounting screws the o ring that is between the tank and petcock is fine but its leaking through the bolts that hold it to the tank should thiey also have an o ring on them or am i fine just using a fuel friendly sealant around the bolts

Not sure if some type of sealant might work, but there is suposed to be a gasket/washer between the bolt and the actual petcock to prevent gas leakage. Its not a plain metal washer, from my brother's troubles on his Kat years ago i think i remember that its has a coating on it, make sense since metal to metal doesn't work too well at preventing leaks

For now I coated the bolts in head gasket sealant and it seems to be working but only time will tell
