    oh wow. that sounds a heckuvalot easier than the whole EZ out process. I never even thought about that. Thanks hemikat!

    edit: I always thought the bar end itself was threaded so i never even thought about that.

      When I got mine they were aleady stripped. What I did was drill the end of the screw head out, then the bar end will slide off and you can put visegrips on the remaining screw shaft.

        i just turned the whole bar end on mine and it loosened the screw enough so i could use a screw driver. you probably don't need a torch or an impact driver/wrench or drill. just man up and show that biaatch who's boss
