98 motor in a 95 frame?

My question is this. Im picking up 3 bikes today and hoping to build one. the good motor is in the 98 frame and i am hoping i can put it in a 95 frame. Can I fit it in there or am i going to have problems?

I have a 97 600 that needs a motor and my understanding was that only 89-97 would fit... So are you saying a 98 would also fit, fred? cuz i know someone with 98 motor but i didnt think it would bolt up

(POST stands for 'post-98' Katana, pre will be 'pre-98')

thanks for all the helpful info guys ill be doing a bunch of reading and searching tonight and as i build i just wanted to make sure it would work before picking it up.

If it helps at all, I just got done helping a friend put a 600cc 01 kat motor in a 95 frame. We had no troubles at all or modding to do with the frame.
