I've been running inline filters for the better part of a year and have never had a problem.

I guess it's all in where you put them . I been using them for the last ..... 5 or 6 years . I like the thought of the extra measure of protection . But I seem to have a good deal of time to tinker with my bike compared to many others .... And I usually like to put them near the top of the carbs , kinda pointed down . PITA to change them out , but seemed to work ok .
