One more Front Sprocket Change Thread...

Ok boys and girls...I did a search and got several threads having to do with the front sprocket removal but none had pictures or specifics....

I'm swapping out another RK chain and sprocket set on my '05 GSX750F. My Kat's getting ready for it's 50k anniversary so i'm getting around 25k per chain which ain't bad.

Now....on the front sprocket, how do I get the little 5mm/6mm allen bolt or square washer off??? I tried turning the allen head to the left and just bent the crap out of my allen wrench. Does the sqare washer/nut come off first??? I don't rememeber this being that bad the first time I swapped them out but it's sure giving me a fit this time.

Nevermind.....I got both sprockets and chain removed.

Are all of those miles on the Kat yours?



My 2nd RK chain lasted very briefly. OEM was a RK chain so I figured I'd stick with them. It did not last nearly as long as the original chain. As a result for my third chain I went with DID. So far I'm happy with them.

Yep...all 50k are mine. I bought the bike with 1 mile on the clicker in June of 2005 and she's been great every since.
