I have a petcock that is trashed. No rebuild possible. Can anybody give me a suggestion on the best internet place to buy one of these? BikeBandit is 85.00.

    Here's one...

90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

What is so trashed about it that it can't be rebuilt?

        Petcock

There is washer-like spring inside the housing between where the shaft of the control knob enters the inside of the housing and the white plastic valve. The spring is mangled. No rebuild kits have that part.

Let me rephrase that more accurately if I can without a pic:
It goes like this: Fuel knob---white plastic valve---washer-like spring---petcock housing. The spring is mangled. No rebuild kits have that part.

You mean the part down in here?

Even if there was a replacement, I wasn't sure how it came out...

Good luck on finding a replacement.

              That's the one.

That would be the little spring thing I'm talking about. But mine has only half of that and what's left is bent upwards so I assume I'm buying a new petcock.
              Thanks for the response.
