  • speedometer problem

Today, i make a stop at the gas station. When i restart my bike and left the gas station i make 1,2,3 and check my speed and i see a problem. My speedometer needle was under zero. When i put the switch in the off position the needle come vertical and when i put it on the needle go under the zero. I seem like if the needle make a 360 degree. What will be the problem. I have a 1999 katana 750. Sorry for my bad english.

Bad pins in the electrical connector under the fairings above the headlight, or in the connection to the dash, or at the sender (front sprocket area). Most likely, in the 20-pin connector above the headlight. Open it and look for burns.

    Cheers

Wish I could answer your question tHiBoB, but what I can do is say that cyberpoet seems to know his stuff. I've learned that the more I searched this forum. I'd go with his advice
