  • Is this a valid fuel petcock test?

If I pull my tank off and disconnect all the fuel lines, then no fuel should flow if the petcock is in the 'ON' position, correct? Can I assume if there's any fuel coming out that there's something wrong in the petcock system?

        No, Yes..
        Wait..

What Krey said. Just for giggles try RES.. Why? If it leaks in both positions it's probably that the diaphragm is stuck, if it doesn't leak in RES then it could be the switch itself..

I just took my spare petcock apart to do an instal of a rebuild and stopped when I realized my cleaner was empty. Hrm... perhaps I should do a write up on that with pics tonight.

Yeah, I hadn't thought to try RES. Is the diaphram part of a rebuild or does that mean a complete petcock replacement?

I've not seen any specifically, but perhaps CyberPoet would know. He sells them for the pre I believe.
