  • I'm Bored, Maybe I should do an engine swap...

    Hey everyone,

I have a 91 Kat 600, and since I helped a friend rebuild his engine, now I want to. The engine in my bike now is very strong, and I have no desire to mess it up, so I am looking around for a non working engine bigger than 600 that I can work on while I still ride my bike. So, what all engine will fit in this thing?

I would like the option of putting the original engine back in if possible. I know 750 kat obviously work, but I remember reading somewhere that old 1100 kat engine can be squeezed in somehow. I also saw that some are using B12's, what are those out of?

I am looking at this particular one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...link:middle:us

Basically, if anyone know a good site about engine swaps and what engines work in it that would be the most hopeful at this point.

    Thanks!
