Tips for rebuilding petcock?

Does anyone have any tips, tricks, or advice for me about rebuilding my petcock? I have the rebuild kit and I'm going to do it tonight.

The last one I did ended up being really stiff after the rebuild. I was hoping to avoid that, so should I soak the new o-rings in oil before assembly?

Watch the little spring clip thing in there . Easy to mangle .
Watch how you take it apart . If you put it back together wrong , it WILL leak , or not work right , and you'll have to spend 30 minutes or so studying the parts to learn how it all works .
