bike clatters

i have a katana 750 2006 my first bike.Do these or any bikes clatter when idoling?when i give it gas it stops,or isn't so load.please help

yeah I've heard new ones that sound like a diesel
Mine did when I got it, however I adjusted the valves to the minimum specs using two feeler guages (one under each adjuster) and that made it much quieter)

get your valves adjusted ASAP. I neglicted mine and I adentually broke a vavle in half. It cost me nearly $600 to get the Kat back on the road and that was doing some of the work my self.
