oil level

  • oil level

    this is going to sound like a dumb que. but how much oil does my 04 6oo kat take? it only has 6014 miles on it / i just got it from the dealership with 5300/ they told me they serv. it but with the truble i had with the title i dont trust them

    I think it is 3.7l without filter
    just over 4l with filter

        Make sure you bike is sitting up right too. That will give you a false reading if you check it with the kickstand down...Sounds stupid but it happens!!

          ok so ilooked it up on the man. it tells you what kind but not how many qrts. it takes . i have a poker run on sat. for m.s. need to change it before then please help!!!

            I believe it takes 3.3 w/o filter and 3.7 with. (off the top off my head, I may be off a tenth)

                        did my 2002 -600 kat two weeks ago got the oil wrench at wallmart for $3.75 and the castrol r-4 rs full syn at cyclegear for 7.85 a qt. and a OEM filtier =i used all four qts. but a half of a inch in the last qt. measered it sitting on it striaght up . every guy wants the best oil
