kept choke on for too long, blue smoke emitting

hello all

today i was warming up the ol bike, and i went to go take a shit and i left the choke on for too long and i saw blue smoke coming out from the top of the head, or the sarbs.

would anyone know what would cause this to happen , i know the choke is on a diffrent butterfly than the throttle on the carbs but i mean WTF would make it emit blue smoke

a blown gasket, but it doesnt seem to do this when going 80 down the highway, and this is the only time ive ever seen this happen .....any help would be much appricated

it is because it ran for a long time way too rich. it is not likely to blow a gasket. it should clear itself up. take it out for a good spin to clean it out. work it....get the rpms up there.

xbubbax, if you had the same problem at 80 mph, you'd never see it -- the air passing over the bike would blow away the smoke so fast you'd never notice from the driver's perch.

Does it smell like burning oil ? Maybe one or more of the washers on the cylinder head are leaking and you're baking oil on it . It happens .

i think the silly guy just spent too long on the crapper while leaving his bike running with the choke on. if he hadn't spent so long looking at Miss June, it wouldn't have happened.
