I saw a unifilter for my katana for pretty cheap but I know absolutely nothing about them... so are they any good? how do they compare to a k&n? thanks
They don't filter nearly as well as the stock filter, and they are pretty much just an open-cel foam. It makes sense in situations where you are trying to get every bit of performance out of the engine at the expense of long-term engine life. I would seriously discourage it's use in environments with very find sand or salt particles (desert, beaches, etc).
KNOW THIS:
Uni Filters flow more air than K&N's and far more than stock filters. This may mean you'll end up needing to get the carbs readjusted to compensate.
