a question about a ninja 500

im working on a bike for a friend can some one tell me how to set the timing on a 1996 ninja 500 i think it jump timing

well there marks on the crank either on the iginton pick up or the flywheel side been a while since ive worked on one and there marks on the cams that need to line up with the middle of the cam craddles but if its jump time like crank to cam timing your gonna have more serious issues then worring about how to get it back in time like bent valves and holes in pistons try www.ex500rider.com lots of good people on there that have alot more exp with this bike then me
