  • Exhaust getting louder

Maybe it's my imagination, but it seems like my exhaust is getting louder. It's got an older yoshi pipe on it, doesn't that packing or whatever go away over time? We've been out riding pretty hard lately for long periods of time the past few evenings. I really don't mind it getting louder as it sounds pretty good, but I'm hoping it's not a developing problem. Another thought, can a problem in the engine cause this, even though the performance seems the same?
I probably answered my own question by thinking it's the pipe, but I'd feel better about it by ruling out engine problems. Thanks-

Aftermarket pipes normally need to be repacked every 2nd year. OEM pipes use steel baffles and don't get repacked... Do a search on how to repack your muffler for the how-to.
