i got a friend with a 95 katana 600.... after running the bike for a minute or two, and you shut it off... the fan comes on, and stays on til battery dies...... any thoughts? is it a relay gone bad?

Must be a California model.............only ones I've known that HAVE fans!

I normally just disconnect the fan altogether..............I've noticed that even the 2001 models I had here that the fan ran and ran............and wore down the battery too fast.............
I've owned over 70 Katanas - you think I know anything about them?
Is there such a thing as TOO MANY BIKES?
Can you go TOO FAST on a bike?

Yes it is a California model and most people like myself remove them. The fan is there to keep the carb bowls cool to reduce the gas evaporating into the atmosphere. Most of the time it just kills the battery.
