  • Kat 92 600 tranny i think help

    hey all i have a 600 92 kat i go for 1 to 2nt if slips in and out of 2nt is that the tranny ? if so can some1 link me a something how to fix it. ty

    yep its most likely a worn second gear & /or selector fork, not good & not cheap to fix
    Renthals & twin spots do not make a streetfighter !

          probably cheaper to get a new motor than to get it fixed if you cant do the work yourself

            well i can rebuild car motors so i think i can do a bike tranny i hope. But i can't find any diagrams to fix it. Do you guys or girls know of any links i can goto so i can see what i have to fix?

              not worth the hassle to fix the tranny, your better off spending 100-200 for another motor and swap it in there. thats what i did when my tranny went to hell, i found another motor for like 160 bucks delivered to my door off ebay and swapped that in.

                Even if you do the work, the parts for the fix are expensive if you do it rigth and it takes a lot of time to do it. I had the same situation and also bought a new motor.

                  I think you'd find that bike transmissions are a little more complicated than ye old 440 or whatever you might be used to working on.

                  Download a manual (search this site and you will find them) if you're intent on doing it yourself. My advise? Replace the motor. Maybe use this opportunity to go bigger......
