[edit] a can of carb cleaner should work - stick the stray thing in the hole and spray. then replace the screw.

+1 to that.. I had really good sucess with that.
Can Special K help with the spring?
The only thing to worry about with the Snyc port o-ring is
that it isn't too fat..
This could twist the cap

Test ride:

Idles great. throttle response is great...needle drops at good speed.

However, engine will 'limit itself' right at 4K rpms

My guess would be clogged mid jets.. what do you guys think?

What do you mean "limit itself" ? Like it WON'T go past 4K ? Or more like it stumbles around there . There are no "mid jets" . You got pilots , and you got mains . The needle controls your midrange mix . If it's adjustable (not stock) , maybe try fiddling with them and see if it does anything .

Would it go past 4K BEFORE you messed it up ? Guess it's time to go back in there and see if anythings missing/not screwed down enough (I forgot to close my drains once and had it IDLE at 4K ...) . Yeah , SOMETHING's not right , for sure ....

Well, these are actually carbs I bought not to long ago, so I haven't been inside of them...at least not the bottoms, but what specifically would make it just limit itself to 4K?

what does it do at 4k ?

if it runs up & down fine - start at the simple things like throttle linkage.

It's stumbles..and then drops slightly, so I just checked my throttle cable/linkage and they seem to open fully and slap the windows shuts....

do you think it could be clogged pilot jets? if so, I'm gonna hang myself.
