  • cush drive pre to post 98 question

I have a quick question. I have a 90 katana that I am swapping a 98+ rim and nice fat tire on to. i got the rim off of ebay and the guy forgot to send one of the cush drives. he is going to send me one, however I want to get this rim on to see if it fixes my swaying problem. to make a long story short, does the pre 98 cush drive's work on a 98+ rim? I don't want to take off the wheel and find out they are different and either have to not ride the bike untill he finaly gets around to sending it or put it all back toether

    thanks

Bikebandit lists the 1990 600 cush as
    PN 513508-001

    The 1999 600 cush is PN513508-001

    Looks like it's a go..

Cushes do wear out though.. If his has less wear I would use his.

Cush drives certainly do wear out -- and get stiff, inflexible, etc. My advice is to replace them every five years with new ones.
