  • 600-750 clutch the same or compatible?

I'm shopping for a new clutch, and found one, it's a Moto-Technica Clutch.
but they only list one for a 750 katana, are they interchangeable?

any one have firsthand info on Moto-Technica Clutches?

    Thanks,
    Chris

I'll leave it to SpecialK... I think the answer will be:
        Yes on the 98+ models
        No on the pre-98's.

Easy way to find out: check ronayers.com and see if the OEM part numbers are the same for both models.

        Cheers

according to barnett's web site they are the same but use a different spring Kit. Probably a stiffer spring on the 750's (pre 98)

For the 98+ models they show the same part numbers.

also it shows the 90-92 GSX-R 750 uses the same clutch and springs as the pre 98 600 katanas

Buy the clutch springs. There are four needed. Well worth the little bit of money.

the kit I am looking at includes springs, but for 750, I thnk they would be the same since the clutch layout is the same, maybe a bit stiffer? Either way I'll get the prings, as I understand barnett makes stiffer springs for better grab.

Yes it's Barnett that I have. After all my mods I really started to feel clutch slippage at the power band. The springs solved it.

Q: How many miles ago was that, and have you had to replace your clutch since (or simultaneously)?

                  Curious

PM me with the details...I have to replace my clutch too....noticed it starting to slip (I think...could be the tires spinning, they were worn pretty badly)
