What mods are available for the 1000cc motor in my 1982 Kat, i would like to make it a little more "snappy".I am pleased with the way it handles, but would like more performance, dont get me wrong,it gets up and goes, maybe i expect to much? The engine is standard, with the exception of the stage 3 jet kit, pods and modified exhaust.I would like to keep the present system,or replace with something similar size,as it shows off the single sided arm modification nicely.Your thoughts and advice will be greatly appriciated, thanks.

You have until this weekend, whats the problem You guys do not deserve the hassle you have had with this motor,i am sure people may think that you goof off alot, but from what i have seen when it comes to working on the bikes, it's all buisness, and why not have fun while doing it,lifes too short. If your going to be around this weekend i will try and stop by,if your still not crabby

Q: When you say you have an exhaust on there, is a full end-to-end replacement exhaust (including aftermarket headers), or just a different end-can?
If the answer is just the end-can (muffler), then new headers will give you more power. Otherwise, you've pretty much tapped out what can be done with breathing mods and the next changes are either bore-over, change the compression ratios, change the engine, add a turbo, or look in a different direction (better handling/brakes/comfort) or change bikes.
Cheers
