    I have a 02 kat 600 dose my engine oil go through the trans or dose the the trans have have seperate fluids.

    Oil goes through the trans, too. I'm sure there is a big thread about motorcycle oil on here somewhere. Use the search function and you're sure to find it.

          I bought it about a month ago dont know a whole lot about the history it was a repo wehn i bought it.

          It dosent leak a lot just about three drips from that spot after riding hard on it.

            Try what Steves said first. Also take the cowl off and make sure that it is not coming from some ware else.

            The first thing you should do, is loosen each one of the bolts slightly, then re-torque. As I recall.. these get fairly low values of like 8.5 ft/lbs.

            If that doesn't help, the gasket might need to be replaced.

            Are you certain the oil is actually coming from the cover, or dripping down from above? You might want to take the fairing off to be certain of the source location.
