Dumb question...but necessary

Is there a problem is my new grips dont have the grooves or slots to go onto the white plastic throttle sleeve?

I've never messed with this before and dont want to mess up.

I have put warmers on my handle bars and replaced the stock grips with aftermarket. We ended up scraping the grooves off the bar and removing the slots for the end. Used rubber glue to keep the new grips in place.

Let me know how it goes with the grips. Been wanting to replace mine but the stealership said it would be a pain in the a$$. I want some yellow grips.

Taking the old grips off was a breeze...But I'll have to keep you posted on the fresh install

i had to dremel the ridges off mine to put aftermarket grips on, just glue the new ones on and you won't have any trouble.

Lots of glue or slidey stuff and put them on quick preferably with someone as counter weight!
