I have a pre-98 Katana, but was wondering if anybody know's if the post 98 exhaust systems will work with the pre98's? Having a hard time finding an exhaust system I like, and thought maybe I could get lucky and the later years fit as well. Doubting it, but maybe somebody has a definite answer.

The answer is around here, and it goes like this (from what I've read -- I haven't played with a pre-98 enough to know):
The 98+ exhaust headers bolt right up, but the bottom of the header, where it turns at the oil pan won't fit with the stock pre-98 pan, failing to clear by a fraction of an inch (1/4"?). Some people dent out the new exhaust to clear, others simply swap oil pans to a 98+ oil pan, which is said to have a bit more clearance in the right spots.
