  • changing motor oil to a different kind.

I used the suzuki high performance protrolium based 20W-50 oil but it cost me 38$ for 4 qts and a filter. What other kind of oil can I use until I get ready to use the fully synthetic. Im just now getting to my first 600miles.

Use any JASO-MA rated 10w40 or 20w50 motor oil. Use the temperature guide in your owner's manual for deciding between 10w40 and 20w50 -- the general rule of thumb is to use 20w50 if you would feel uncomfortable standing barefoot on asphault in your area. Probably the cheapest ones I can think of that are fully JASO-MA rated are Castrol's ACT/Evo or Royal Purple CycleMax.
