How often do you ajust valves?

Sorry if this has been asked alot but I could not find anything on the subject of how often Valve ajustments are needed. Does it vary for pre 98 vs 98+? thanks.

Every 4,000 miles or 12 months is what my book says and it covers the year for your bike. Good luck, its one of the things I need to do next as well.

The factory spec for the 98+ is every 7500 miles.

I do mine every second season. They've only needed minor adjustment if any during that time.
