  • A couple carburetor questions

ok it's been about 13 years since I have done carbs, and I have usually sold the bike and bought another one just because I didn't want to do the carbs

here are 2 pics for my questions, and a couple of little questions.

1 is on the carb with the TPS should I adjust the TPS ( throttle position sensor ) so when the butterfly is opened it does not go past the WOT ( wide open throttle ) point and start reclosing? or should I not even unscrew the TPS and leave it as is

2 is I have the Suzuki carb kit and I don't know where all the seals go, I pretty much get that #1 is on the cap top next to the slider membrane, and #3 goes on the big Jet, so where do the 2, 4, 5 seals go?

Also, can I put the carbs back together without drilling out the A/F mixture and just leave it sealed.

thank you for any help I can get here.

Sounds like you probably need a manual search for some links
also TPS (although I never set them) are adjusted by checking electrical resistance As far as I know

Check these links out they are about your carbs and made for katriders on this sticky https://katriders.com/forum/service-...-102-the-video
    http://vimeo.com/67356693 taking them apart
    http://vimeo.com/68095261 putting them back together
    http://vimeo.com/68097145 setting float height

Also you can go to a spares site and check exploded diagrams sites like Ron Ayers etc.

    best of luck

yes thank you, however, I went to Ron Ayers and didn't see the exploded view but I went again and saw it this time although 4 of these o rings have almost the same exact look so it is still very hard to tell what spot they go in properly but I think I did see the spots now.

I also did watch those videos previously before posting but they passed over anything that I am asking about, unfortunately.

if i i had to guess id say 4 goes on the air fuel screw behind the sealed spot on the bottom of the carbs, and 5 goes on the float valve seat. i could be wrong though! i dont have any ideas on #2 o ring sorry
