    hey all,

just checked my tyre pressure on the kat and noticed frot down to 26psi and rear at 29-30psi

the booklet says front 32 and rear 36

the tyres are still the oem tyres and i have about 6500km's on it.

temp starting to cool down here so was wondering what pressures i should be using

what do you guys run at?

once read somewhere that booklet pressures are wrong.

I run 31 front, 34 rear. Crapadams seem to behave better that way.

This is what is recommended by Conti which I learned from Speedee.
I will maintain these year round.

Anyone else want to speak about the tire pressures?

He has stock tires . SO you should start with what's on the idiot stickers on your bike . Lower pressures help tires stick better , but you lose feel and milage (both tire life and gas) .

Even with the stock OEM tires, the tire pressure should be up a bit if you weigh more than 140 lbs (64 kg).

              Generally, OEM Dunlops:
              140 lbs - 33 front, 36 rear
              165 lbs - 34 / 37
              190 lbs - 34.5 / 38
              220 lbs - 35 / 38
              250 lbs - 36.5 / 39.5

Running the tires low will cause them to run too hot and lead to premature scalloping and cupping, a common problem on both the Macadams and the OEM Dunlops.

What you really need to do is get in the habit of checking your tire pressures and topping them off before the first ride of any day you'll ride. The only way both tires got that low was a lack of proper maintenance.

PS - those tires are crud.

              Cheers,
