  • Swapping to Billet Resevoir cap

I just got a billet resevoir cap with the "S" logo etched. Anything I need to know before I take the old one off? I'm not going to have to bleed the brakes or anything by letting air in the system or anything..just the two screws, swap and good to go?

Clean everything well before removing the old cap.
When you remove the bellows don't let the fluid get on any paint. If you haven't flushed your fluid in a year you should...

But if the brake fluid's more than 2 years old , might as well get some new in there while you're at it .

          My tidbit of advice:

Take some aluminum foil and put it over the fairings under the reservior, so any spilled brake fluid won't get on the paint.

          Cheers,

My opinion is a year. When in doubt flush it out!
(Like unless you did ut, Assume it hasent ever been done!)

I'll agree with CyberPoet; Aluminum foil is your best friend for lots of jobs.
Since motorcycles have few flat surfaces, foil allows you to protect the bike the way a rag can't.
