  • Ninja 500 Motor Swap

I have a buddy of mine who has a 97 Ninja 500 Ex. Does anybody have any ideas of motors that bolt up to the frame? I figured I would ask here before I try and look elsewhere. Also, what kind of other mods would you have to do with the frame and everything, tranny, swingarm, etc...?

    thanks for the help
if its got 2 wheels or a skirt....i'll ride it.

      The '94 - '00 Ninja 500 motor will be a direct bolt-in.

For example, here is the crankcase for the 97 ex500 and the 97 ninja 750. Looks like a great swap with a great deal of work judging by the frame of the 500. Not to mention the extra work making the frame strong enough. These are compliments of bikebandit.com
