I think I may have found the set of carbs I need, but he does not have listed what year.

If this came from a watercooled engine, will it make a differance? The engine I purchased is oil cooled.

I will email him and get the model number, then post them if I get them.

I am going to be putting the carbs on a 88-92 GSXR 1127 engine.

And Special K did not have any carbs for it, so I am scrounging the earth trying to find some.

Isn't M/N 91-92? You might wanna check your intake manifolds on your engine to see if the 40's would fit. This is the stock GSXR 1100 carb setups according to my Haynes:

86-88 BST34SS
89- (US) BST36SS
89-90 (UK) BST36SS
91- (UK) BST40SS

Edit: BTW, a quick search on the german eBay gave the following, all of them cheaper than the one you found in UK. PM me if you want me to relay them, the two first ones are Europe only, the last is Germany only, but they often don't mind shipping to Belgium anyway...

The only info he has sold me is the following:

It is off a WN model 92, and that it will fit oil cooled and water cooled, and that it is 40mm.


I don't know what the WN is, but I believe all the engines 88-92 were pretty much the same. I don't know what the differences is in the european model compared to the US model, or if there would be a difference with carbs.

Hehe, you asking me to send you some devils? (that's what the name means )... Isn't it for sale in the US? Here it's like, $1,50 a bottle (33 cl) or so but I think the shipping would kill the deal (and the bottles). Duvel is not my favourite beer, but I do like their thing about the glass, though (they make their glasses so that the all CO2 bubbles start from the center of the bottom of the glass - a cool effect). Now, if I would send you something special, it would be Bush beer (no, you can't get it in the US under that name, for obvious reasons) or Chimay blue...

Yeah no problem... are you referring to the carbs or the beer? Not sure if it's going to be cheaper that way, but sometimes they don't want to ship outside of Europe...
