For Gods' sake, why? If you want a straight pipe, go buy a piece of straight pipe at the muffler shop and be able to go back to your stock pipe when you figure out that it was a fun but silly experiment that you don't want to live with permanently.
Sorry if that came across as exagerated... The baffles on the inside of the Kat exhaust are extremely complex and unless you open up the welds and separate the can, you're not going to debaffle it correctly (you'll just knock stuff down/around, which might block up holes later and make your exhaust rattle in the meantime). If you want an end-can, get an end-can.

I bought a used 03 exhaust for my 05 and changed it from three chambers to two.. Using a hole saw, a sawzall, torch with cutting head, and a pnuematic die grinder... man what a beoch, but it was well worth the sound...I kept my 05 exhaust for inspection reasons but I will see if the 03 exhaust will pass...Horn broken--watch for finger....
