  • Timing chain adjustment

My 06' 750 sounds awful. Im told that the Timing chain needs to be tightened or changed. is this a hard fix? while i,m doing that what else needs to be done while I'm in there. Can I still ride without doing damage?

I doubt seriously you need a timing chain replaced, most likely it needs the chain tensioner adjusted, replaced or the valves need adjusted.

I'm glad this question was asked. I've been searching the forum and google to confirm which APE manual cam chain tensioner to buy, but can't find the specific model for the post '98 750 kats.
Their website list the ST750 for the GSX600F and the ST750GX for the 96-99 SRAD GSXR-750.

      Does anyone know?
