    Can anybody tell me what I can use to get melted micro fiber towel off one of my headers with out messing up the chrome finish?

          Yeah, that's what the chrome polish does... gets rid of stains and oxidization, makes it look shiny and new again.

                yeah, I was going to suggest acetone, but don't think it'll work on synthetics...you can also try fine steel wool.

                  colonel brassy is the best thing for those problems. i've also used it on harleys when guys burn their boots on those hot pipes.
