Hello,
I bought an older 94 Kat 600 as a starter bike for 500$ it has some issues including
Rough Idle, rattling 3rd gear and very loose chain.. I have not gotten my hands on a haynes or clymer (which is best?) manual yet, but I noticed one obvious issue.
The idle is really rough and I noticed a vacuum tube(?) hanging out. I followed it from the left side of the bike and it goes into a round device that seems to be at the bottom of my tank. there are three nipples and tubes. the disconnected tube comes from the center nipple.
The problem I am having is that when I disable the choke the bike shuts off. I cant seem to make it above 50. I have to apply some choke until the bike is around 1500 rpm idle.
Also the bike pulls and then feels like its lost some power then returns. Im pretty sure thats because the chain is so loose though.
So my first question is where does that vacuum tube connect to and is it related to my idle/choke problem?
and Where can I find step by step instructions on tightening the chain?
